Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at Paro & Transfer to Thimphu (55 KMS / 1.5 HRS Drive)
Your journey begins with a spectacular flight into Paro, offering breathtaking views of the Himalayas. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by our representative and drive to Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital. Along the way, stop at Chuzom to admire the confluence of the Thimphu and Paro rivers, marked by three distinct stupas. You will also pass by the 15th-century Tschogang Lhakhang temple. In Thimphu, check into your hotel, then visit Trashichhoedzong, the fortress housing the King’s offices, and explore the local market, where you can browse Bhutan’s handcrafted textiles, paintings, and carvings. Wind down with a yoga session at your hotel.

Day 2: Thimphu Exploration
Start your day with a rejuvenating yoga session, followed by a visit to the National Library, home to a vast collection of Buddhist manuscripts. Then, head to the Textile Museum to learn about Bhutan’s distinctive weaving traditions. Next, enjoy panoramic views from the Buddha Point and visit the iconic King’s Memorial Chorten, a monument to peace. After lunch, stop by Bhutan’s first post office, the traditional paper-making factory, and the Institute of Traditional Medical Services, where you can learn about Bhutanese healing practices. End the day with a relaxing yoga session at your hotel.

Day 3: Thimphu to Punakha (75 KMS / 3 HRS Drive)
Begin the day with yoga at your hotel before heading towards Punakha via Dochula Pass, where you can marvel at views of the eastern Himalayas. Once in Punakha, take a short walk to Chimi Lhakhang, a fertility temple surrounded by scenic rice fields. Check into your hotel, then explore the Punakha Dzong, a grand structure at the confluence of two rivers. Conclude the day with a yoga session.

Day 4: Punakha Discovery
Start with a morning yoga session, then embark on a hike to Khamsum Yuelley Namgyal Chorten, a temple perched on a hill offering beautiful valley views. Afterward, visit Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Lhakhang Nunnery, known for its stunning bronze statue of Avalokiteshvara. In the afternoon, enjoy another yoga session at your hotel. For those interested, an optional excursion to Gangtey (Phobjikha) valley, famous for its picturesque landscapes and Black-Necked Crane Information Centre, is available.

Day 5: Punakha to Paro (120 KMS / 4.5 HRS Drive)
Enjoy a morning yoga session before driving to Paro. En route, visit Simtokha Dzong, the oldest fortress in Bhutan. Upon arrival in Paro, check into your hotel, then explore the National Museum housed in the historic Ta Dzong and the impressive Rinpung Dzong, known for its fascinating murals and Buddhist art. End your day with yoga at your hotel.

Day 6: Paro Adventure
Start your day with yoga, followed by a hike to the iconic Taktshang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), perched high on a cliff. This sacred site, where Guru Rinpoche is said to have meditated, offers stunning views and a sense of tranquility. After the hike, visit the 7th-century Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest temples.

Day 7: Departure from Paro
After an early breakfast, our representative will assist you with your departure to the airport for your onward journey, bringing your Bhutan adventure to a close.
